In 1906, a treasure was discovered just minutes from Palma: the Caves of Génova, a fascinating natural legacy sculpted in stone, drop by drop, over centuries. In prehistory, Mallorca's natural caves served as shelter; today they enchant thousands of visitors with their beauty.
Reopened to the public a few years ago, they are the closest caves to the capital, in the residential district of Génova. Like the island's other caves, they consist of limestone underground galleries linked by natural passages.
The tour runs in small accompanied groups, descending through lit galleries to about 36 metres deep. At the end of the visit, we treat you to a glass of sangria made with Mallorcan wine.
